It was the GMC Cyclone (GM) and that engine was a 4.3 litre V6 Turbocharged and the Cyclone was mated to an awesome AWD system and a performance automatic only. They could run easy low 13's from the factory. 280h.p. and about 350 something ft-lbs torque. Also in the Buick Grand National if you know what those are, if you don't, you should they haul ballz.

ahem!!! i do know my chevies dood, we have a buncha grand nationals running loose here, and boy can they fly but.....

looks like a 4g63 to me, but with cyclone on its vavle cover. hmmm, weird.

From what I have read I believe it is just a different intake manifold on a normal 4g63 engine. I think there are dual runners for each cylinder or something like that. They claim like a 10hp difference if I remember correctly. I haven't read about them in a while so maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

The GN had a 3.8L V6 not the 4.3L that was in Syclone. Yup it was spelled with a S not a C. The car and truck shared nothing in common. The Typhoon though, a SUV, had the same motor as the Syclone and was just as quick.
If you would like to know there was also a Cyclone Spoiler back in the late 60's. Made by Buick I think though I am not sure.
