this thing is awesome. it sounds so loud! i was worried that it was going to sound like a mosquito but this thing is soo deep in tone it sounds like a 350. As for performance gains i dont know becuase im still scared to take it over 3k rpms let alone floor it with cops lurking around. anyone thinking about getting one, this was the best $63 i ever spent on my car. :thumb:

i got it at a local muffler shop. its a black y-pipe before the cat. its 2.5 inch piping. no pics yet but will hopefully get some up soon.

just thought of something.....can i got carbon monoxide poisoning from the cutout? i can smell the exhaust gases when driving. is this harmful to my health?

It could be if you let the car idle while you are sitting in it for a long time. As long as the car is moving you should be just FINE.

Stuffy, yes, as said, you can get CO poisoning from sitting at a light at idle. Carbon Monoxide is nasty stuff - it builds up in your system and isn't exposed of for about five hours. If you're going to do a lot of driving with a lot of idling, be careful. Signs to watch out for:
-Headaches
-Nauseousness
-Dizziness

After that, your headache will get more severe. With continued exposure even after that (depending on the levels of CO), you could go into convulsions. From there, you lose consciouness.

Now, the good part: CO is hard to die from when you're outside. If you keep your windows rolled down, it's hard for the CO to build up inside the passenger area. So, everytime you take off from a light, the CO will go away, at least until you stop at the next light. If you keep the windows rolled up, though, it'll come up through the floorboard and stay inside.

Just be aware of yourself. If you start to feel lightheaded, dizzy, or have headaches, you know it's time to call it quits.

my a/c doesnt work and i live in the deep south texas so i ALWAYS have my windows rolled down... thanks for the help
