I just got done installing my Victory Performace Dumped O2 Housing, and i gotta say it is BAD!!! It looks real good and sounds sweet.

I was just curious if any of you with this O2 housing were using the lower heat shield. I was gonna put it back on, but it looked like i was gonna have to do alot of cutting to get it to fit right. Also, there will only be two bolts holding it in place instead of the 5 that the 2g O2 housing uses.

All in all i gotta give it an A+.

and you haven't had any problem with anything melting or anything like that? also, i notice that my car has been smoking off and on since i installed the dumped O2. i know this may sound stupid, since of course it is dumping exhaust fumes directly from the wastegate. but the smoke looks like its coming from my exhaust(back of my car)... not under the hood where the O2 housing is.

I was curious, I know you said you like the sound of the O2 dump...is it a lot louder or not that much? What is the tone of it, is it a turbo sound or exhaust? I was thinking of getting one but, I have never heard a car with one, sorry for all the questions.

its like a Brrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep sound if you ask me and yes, its ALOT louder. But I like it personally :> always funny to give some unsuspecting person the dumptube LOL. But seriously, if you like a quiet car, then this is not for you.

yeah it is pretty loud, but like everyone says.....it just when your on it. there is a link on here or dsmtalk that has a clip of what one sounds like. i think the one in that clips sounds louder than mine though.

about the smoke, i was think that is was also maybe just the new dump tube getting heated up, since it was new. i guess i'll have to wait and see if it goes away.

sorry thing is that i just noticed that i have some big time lag. i was thinking that i was hitting full boost by close to 4k, but now with the dumptube, i know when i hit full boost cause of the sound. it is closer to 4500 or something like that.:( funny thing is now it kinda sounds like i got vtec....... you hear the turbo spooling for a little bit and then BAM.
