Anyone know of any T3 turbine housing heat shields? Preferably one for a 4-bolt housing, but I'd like to know what's out there for all T3 turbine housings. Heck, if you know of any non-specific heat shield products I'd be interested.

I've done a bit of research, and have only found two products that are related. First is that sold by Heatshield Products, and it's basically a turbo wrap kit. Second is a stainless steel heatshield made by Turbonetics. Don't know anything about the former, and the latter I don't like as it bolts between the turbine and whatever connects to it (my o2 housing in this case). Also can't use it since they only make one for a 5-bolt housing :)

Oh, I believe Thermo-tec makes a turbo-wrap "kit" for 4-cylinder cars, but I'm unable so far to determine exactly what's in that kit. I already have header wrap, ties, and silicon spray so I'd rather not pick up that expensive kit unless it's all I can get, hehe.

I'm basically trying to avoid having to drop the turbo off at a local race shop and have them fabricate me a heat shield... or at least see what options there are. That might just be the best idea, but figured I'd throw the question out on the forum to see what other people have found. Thanks in advance.

Heh, weird replying to myself... but I figured I should put information here as I find it. I found these guys:
http://www.allturbos.co.za/

who have a heat shield they say will bolt up to all a/r t3 turbine housings, and it looks fairly nice. Downside is that they're in South Africa, hehe. I've emailed them for a quote just for grins though.

Heat coating means I have to spend more in shipping charges to send the darn thing out. I would also need to disassemble the turbo (something which I'm not entirely comfortable with yet) or pay whoever coats it to do so. Short answer: want to consider cheaper alternatives.

Heh, as I stated in my first post, the turbonetics design I can't use for two reasons... one I don't like that it bolts between my turbine and turbine outlet (either o2 housing or o2 eliminator), and two it's set up for a 5-bolt T3 turbine housing, rather than a 4-bolt. If you're thinking the one on the left is a 4-bolt T3, that is actually a T4 turbine housing. Thanks anyways :)
