Edmonton,
Please bare with my of stupidity. I really want to know if it would work with my setup (stock, in that area).

I was wondering about the O2 sensor housing for one. What size would it be? Would it fit on a 3" downpipe, or stock? Or do all downpipes taper down to the same size. But I am really thinking they make it whatever size you have right?

The Tial 35MM external wastegate. Dont have much knowledge on wastegates so, I can just ask if if its good?................

The T3T4 Garret Turbo itself. Is this a 16G or 20G? Would a stock intake pipe fit on it? :(

And because I forgot the other questions, Has anyone already got this package? What do you think of it?

35mm is big enough. The turbo is a comparative to a 20G(maybe a little bigger depending on what wheels are in it). I( doub't a stock intake pipe will fit on it becsue it probably has a 2 3/4 or 3 inch inlet. A 3inch DP will fot the O2 housing and it is less restricitive the the mistu housing.

Alright, I plan on having a 3" downpipe very soon. But dont plan on the turbo package for a little while, so can you fit a 3" DP with stock O2 housing? until the money comes for the package. And what did you mean about 35mm?

Is anyone running this setup. I'm really looking into getting this setup. I like that it comes with everything and is well priced. I've also heard bad things about the life of the turbonetics turbos. Is this true and should I be worried about the turbo dying in a few years. I TT my car everytime for 1 minute or more so that will not be a issue.

Does anyone know how much lag would be present with a 57 trim, stage 3 and .63 AR?

I have a 57 trim/stage 3 ... with a .48 AR and get full boost at about 4k in 3rd at WOT

I've run 2 different manifolds on my car (garrett) and seen other people use other manifolds...

I'd suggest staying away from the turbonetics manifold, and also the "max rev" or "rev hard" or whatever it is..... thing is a pile, I know 2 guys with it..... both are ditching or have already ditched it for the South Florida Performance manifold.....

I ditched my turbonetics manifold for the SFP, and I'll never look back. Turbo spools better and has better top end.

I ran a 35mm delta gate, but switched to a Tial for size/fitment issues.... both held fine with no creep and no spike

I don't know which manifold they use.... you'd have to ask

at some points the runners would be bigger... don't know about all the way through

they show a pic of the mani with the turbonetics emblem on it. So I guess it from turbonectics as is the turbo. Thanks for your responce, now you got me thinking into parting this kit out for a better setup. I don't want to have to waste 500 bucks to upgrade the manifold. So the SFP is the best mani for out car using a t3/t4 turbo? What WG does it support? I heard that if you tap for egt in their manifold, it void the warrenty. I assume this is for structral integrity. How would i get around this with the EGT probe.

For the price, it is the BEST you can get.

It'll support any wastegate you want, you just tell them the flange.....

Yes, tapping the EGT does void the warrenty. But look at it this way... why would they put a warrenty on a manifold that is going to crack anyways? They make it high enough quality that people who race the hell out of their cars for years don't have an issue with cracks.
-- they void it because they don't want to be held liable for people being dumbasses and tapping poorly, ya know?

.... as far as why I ditched the old one....... the material they used was crap -- Kevin (Z1500) tried for a week in his machine shop to patch a crack, and could NOT... nothing would weld to it. Also, it had to be ported to line up with the exhaust manifold gasekt, the holes did not line up with the head...... if you want to know more about why I dislike the manifold, I am sure Kevin would be more then happy to vent as well -- we both had to deal with it... he more then I because he's the one with the welder.

Do you have a EGT tapped? What is considered poorly tapped? What is the correct way to tap a tubilar manifold? What was the price of the manifold?

Sorry, so many questions, I'm doing as much research as I can before i spend all my money.

Oh boy, my favorite manifold:rolleyes:
The turbonetics mani is a pile of #@%#@%#@%#@% from a quality stand point. It's the worst casting job I've ever seen. Inside the runners are hundreds of BB sized pits. And it's made out of the cheapest pot metal crap they could find. You can't weld, braze, solder, glue, tape, or fill in a crack with chewing gum. From a performance stand point it's better than the 2g manifold, cause the collector area on the 2g is just awful. But that's why we have porting bits. For the same price as the 'T' you can get the SFP manifold that is better quality and better performance. Guys have run the SFP manifolds for years without cracking, and it's a thick wall tubular manifold. Smooth inside runners and an excellent collector area. And the external comes off the collector area rather than runner #1.

The package as a whole is a great deal. The manifold isn't that bad. You guys make it seem like it is the biggest POS. They look good to me, but what do I know? I don't run one. You guys do. I have yet to see them inside and I am no metallurgist, so I truly cannot comment on quality, per say, but they look good to me and I have yet to see a problem with any of them that were tapped for an EGT. DSMotorsports shop car ran this exact setup up until this past weekend. Ran a best of 11.08@125 on it, and was very consistent with 11.1-11.2 times otherwise. They just installed the combo on a customers this past weekend and the next day, untuned, he pulled 390HP at the dyno. Granted he has all the supporting mods, but you should if you are looking for a turbo this large. The turbo itself is AWESOME down low and mid-range. Up top it looses some but still pulls as hard as say a 20G up top. All the ones I've seen spool by 3800rpms.

if you have any questions, call Nate at DSMotorsports. He is a great guy and will answer all your questions. Then take the information he gives you and that from this and other boards, friends, etc and then decide. You are doing the right thing though by asking as much as possible. Do it your way.

You said: The turbo itself is AWESOME down low and mid-range. Up top it looses some but still pulls as hard as say a 20G up top. All the ones I've seen spool by 3800rpms.

Do you mean it starts spooling by 3800rpms? Is that good for a 20G? I know it depends on other mods such as exhaust and so on but my 14b spools before that.

I didn't mean spool time, although I think 3800rpms for a 20G is pretty decent. And by 3800rpms, I mean it is fully spooled by then. I guess I should've explained better.

Nate (DSMotorsports) used to have a 20G on his car. Whenever we raced, he would pull away real quick, real steady, all the way down the ¼ mile. Well, he has since upgraded to the T3T4. We go to the track every Friday and the last couple Fridays, I have lined up against Nate. Now, instead of him pulling me good, he rapes me for the first 1/8 mile. I mean, we are almost even for the 60' (my 1.6x to his 1.5x) but after that, he literally makes me feel like I am standing still from the 60' to the 1/8. Once we get to the 1/8, it seems like, although pulling me still, he isn't pulling me as hard as it was in the beginning, down low and in mid range.
