need some help

ok got a question.. my altornator went out and i got a new one.. put it on today and its charging just not like it should.. it stays a lil past the n on normal, but when i turn the lights on and run the air it goes above the n.. when i cut it off it sounds really weak trying to crank.. im wondering if it could be my battery or what.. also this is on my truck it came stock with a 60amp and i have a 65 now.. thanks guys

What's the voltage output of your alternator? It sounds used-up. Or, your battery and ground(s) are filthy or loose.

I would do the first thing obvious and thats to have the battery tested at your local pepboys, autozone...
