This should be the appropriate place to post this.

Somewhere while checking out different products for the 4g63 I came across a custom fabricated aluminum valve cover.

I can't for the life of me find it again.

Does anyone know where I may have seen this item?

Thanks.

What is the point of that valve cover? I can see the reason for the nice oil pan they have, but is there an actual purpose I am missing for the valve cover? Also I could be wrong, but I see no provisions for crankcase ventilation on that valve cover. What would be the reason if any for eliminating that?

The reason I was inquiring about this one is I bet it doesn't crack since it is not a cast piece.

I followed the instructions in my manual just because I happen to have a torque wrench and tightened the valve cover bolts to 3 foot lbs. It cracked. I usually just tighten them snug by feel. That is what I get for following instructions.

Ugly yes but, in a good way. If you want to be happy for the rest of your life make an ugly valve cover your ..............

Thanks again.

maybe it has better windage? Im kinda partial to my red JDM cyclone cover or the hyandai covers myself :)

I don't think windage would be a good thing.

I'm going to try finding a valve cover locally. If anybody has a nice valve cover for sale let me know just in case I can't find one.

Thanks.

what would be cool is to buy that aluminum valve cover then have it anodized a custom color.:thumb:
