I was supposed to receive an FMIC kit from IRC at the start of August. It didn't show and both Ken and Andy are not replying to any e-mails, phone calls or other attemps to contact at this or any boards. I know of two other people that are not getting any replys aswell as me. Did the company go under? Can anyone shed a little light on this subject so I may forget about my order and place a new one with a differant company? :( Thanks!

no, they were going to charge when the kit was shipped. So I didnt get ripped off but I am still pissed because I needed the FMIC to go to an event on Aug 24th and I clearly didnt get to go because they screwed me.
 
I also ordered a FMIC and raditor from them at the begining of August and left a 1350.00 deposit. Although it takes several emails and calls before I get a response, Ken eventually replies. From what I've heard, he's a good guy and even though he doesn't always respond very quickly, would never screw anyone.


He's pretty busy from what I've been told.

I've been waiting on a 2G race core kit for longer than i can remember. Im prolly gonna guess @ least 6 months. I get no responces to e-mails, phone calls, IM's, nothing. IM quite curious as to whats going on as well as the kit was paid for in full upon order. If anyone knows please let me know.

He responded fast when it came to ordering but as for shipping, I am being treated like a tree hugging Canadian.

The only US company that treated me very good so far was Dejon Tool. I am sick of dealing with this junk!
 
well im trying to order my core now but im getting no answering, i went to there site and it says there moving into a bigger area to deal with the large amont of orders, hopefully they could fix there slow ness now and get us or fmic within 2 months atleast
 
I had a chance to meet and talk with Ken at the Shoot Out. And, I gave him severe hell for not calling his cutomers back. He explained to me whats happening. He is getting the same treatment form HIS suppliers of parts to make the cores. They dont call him back. He is all busy wiht orders. ken was a really cool guy. He wont screw anyone. Still no excuse for not replying to people. But you can understand where he is coming from. Just be patient. The kit is worth any amount of waiting. It is simply an awesome kit.
 
First off, its said on their site that they have been moving for a year. Second, I pleaded with Ken and Andy to just reply and let me know what the problem was. Whether they are busy or not there is something called custumer service.
 
I got my race core from IRC, it took forever to ship. I must not have made a mental note however, as I just placed an order for a radiator last month. Ken called me right back after I left a message on his cell phone. We talked it over and he told me 5-7 days to make the rad. I sent the payment and have been waiting ever since. It'll be one month tomorrow since he got the cash (via paypal). I've called and emailed with my cell phone number, but no replies at all. I sent a pretty nasty email on friday, but I doubt it'll help at all. Its too bad, because the products are top notch.

BTW, if his suppliers are so bad, then why does he still buy from them? It only makes him and his business look bad.
 
I met Ken at the shootout, he seemed like a nice guy. What I can't figure out though is WHY people place orders with him in the first place. It is a pretty well known fact that he has little to no customer service.

Even in this very thread where everyone is complaining about not getting a response from him even AFTER full payment is made, there is someone trying to place an order with them. I just don't get it, why would you bother with that kind of hassle? Is it to save a few bucks? The DSM community is so big now, that it seems like purposeful aggravation to order from a company that has done so many people wrong. waiting 6 months for a part is about the craziest thing I've ever heard.

The longest I had to wait for anything was a little over a month for my AGP turbo setup, but every call I made was replied to and every e-mail I sent was answered. Same goes for Buschur racing when I was waiting for my AFPR. I've never had to wait at all when ordering from RRE,dejontool,boostcontroller.com,lotek,machV or any of the other proven companies I have used in the past. Basically the point is, with so many reputable shops around, why waste time and give business to one that is not? If no one gave them business, they would go out of business and the good reputable shops would get more business. Thats how it should be.
 
Ken is the man, I would wait as long as it takes to get another core from him when the time comes again. Ken is the sole reason why we are not paying $1300 for a sparco 1-120 and $1600 for a 2-216 core. I got my intercooler,radiator and injectors on time hassle free

By the time you get your intercooler, it will have been worth an extra couple hundred bucks to get it promptly. If you figure a 6 month wait time like some people have said, you will save around 33 bucks a month to NOT have your intercooler. On an investment as big as that, it hardly seems reasonable to me. Especially if you have paid upfront and are letting him keep your money interest free.
 
Ahhh...a vendor complaint, AND its in the wrong forum...not that there is a RIGHT forum to break the rules. Ken will ship it, it may take a while, though. You didn't lose any money, so quit your bitching.
