Edmonton,
I have just installed my Type-S and had a question, if i am driving even under now boost, like my gauge reads just below boost level or right at zero it still makes the psssht noise. does this mmean that i should soften it a bit, cause under low boost shouldnt it kinda flutter?

How far from the top is the screw at? Actually, you MAY need to tighten it just a tad since it's releasing too soon. Then again it may just be right if it is releasing just as you shift. Also, you don't want it to flutter neither
since it indicates that you have it too tight.

If you are running more than 15psi the tighen it. say this to everyone, little flutter aint gonna hurt nothing. If its releasing ~1psi like it does 15psi then you need to tighten it as you are most likely leaking....

well i could only notice the noise when i had it venting to the atmosphere for the one day, and i wasted SO much gas! and my car ran like crap of course. but the sound was not as loud at 1 psi as it was at 15, but it was still loud enough, but of course this was when i was venting to the atmosphere.

so I have a similar problem...When I cruise....say on fourth gear at 4000rpm just for example...and let off just a tad of the pedal..my bov makes a stutter sound and the car stumbles. If I get off the pedal all in one fast move ( let it all the way up at once) then it wont stutter but just blow as regular..What could be causing this? Never happened before I changed BOV and FMIC...
Besides that it sems to be working just fine..I tried tighten it..no diff...open it up..no diff.... ?
