3" turbo-back: internal or external dump?

I am ordering a full 3" exhaust from RnR, and I just haven't been able to decide if I want the internal or external dump for the wastegate. Are there any performance gains with the external dump? And, just how much louder is the external dump? Will it get me pulled over for loud exhaust? Or does it sound cool enough that it is worth the risk? Any first hand experience on this subject will be appreciated. Thanks,

External dumps sound like a Geo Metro with bad rings and no exhaust flooring it with an automatic transmission within a 1 mile radius.

If this car is going to be driven with actual passengers, and don't want to be an instant cop magnet, I reccomend an internal.

Get the int. dump. On internal wastegate cars the flapper opens up to soon as it will be too loud for the street. It will end up opening all the time on you and get annoying.

ya if ur going to do a internal wastegate stay with the internal dump because u never know when there going to open and when they do its loud, if u are going external wg go with external dump its is loud but sounds alsome, exspecialy when ur pulling on the ss or covette, and when u stop they ask what the hell was that. i love the way they sound with my agp kit

Thanks for the input, that is what I was thinking that it would be too much for street use, and not practical. I think the sound of my 3" syatem will sound plenty good enough for me, plus when I do upgrade my turbo soon, I will always stick with an internal wastegate, I like to keep things simple, and I can't afford all the things that go along with the external wastegate anyway.
