I am quickly nearing the end of my 5 year - 60,000 mile warranty. I am wondering if there is any way to see if I possibly have crankwalk without opening up the engine and measuring the crankshaft endplay. Can I take off the timing belt cover and just see if the crank pully will move in and out? I have had no shifting or clutch disengagement problems. Any help would be appreciated.

yeah right now I have my flywheel off can I check for crankwalk there with a dial base indicator
