experience with FFWD connection?

has anyone had their engine built there? or heard things about it: if i get a gsx this looks like an extremly good place to get the engine built at. my friend got his trans done their and loves it! I have a 11,000 budget and would like to hit low 11's off nitrous, later on get n20 and hit 10's.

does the 2.0 race motor look like the best setup for what im asking?

(keep in mind with the 11k that needs to include, suspension, trans, FMIC, stand alone, and engine)

do you think its possible with that money to hit mid to low 11's in a 97+ gsx, stripped back seats and cf hood

hey man if you are wanting excellent quality in your car go to ffwd the guy who runs it is very meticulous in his work and he knows his stuff. he takes alot of pride in his work as well. i dont know if you can get all that done on your budget or not but he is the guru he could tell you and i am a little confused do you have the car yet if not i think darren has a freind that has a very nice 91awd for sale that he has done alot of work on he wants 6500 but from what i understand its well worth it and is already in mid 12s new candy paint to if i could afford it i would buy it you should get hold of darren his # 918-543-1811 he never answers the phone but if you leave a message about business he will call you back and tell him eagor sent you feel free to pm me if you have any questions

Get the 2.3L stroker engine. A Dejon RACE FMIC, AGP 50 trim turbo kit, 780 injectors etc. You should only 6-7k on all that, so you will still have some left to play with.

He is right, you really should not go shooting your mouth off. Darren at ffwd is one of my best freinds and I have watched him build several of these motors HIMSELF. He is very meticulous and takes great pride in his motors. Example, he just went and spent 2000 dollars on on a jet wash cabinet because he likes his parts and bolts imaculate. Darren puts alot of care into his motors and like I said he builds them himself. I would like to know where you got this so called info at, you obviously have never been a customer of his because if you had you would have nothing but good things to say about him and his motors. He has gone to great lengths to build an honest and reputable business and it pisses me off when guys like you, who dont know a lick about what you are talking about, try to savatage his rep. One more example he had a 2g guy wanting to dump 5 grand or so into his 7 bolt crank motor and instead of taking his money, not caring about what happened with the crappy 7 bolt, he told the guy he would be better off to wait till he could afford to have someone swap a 6 bolt in. Whether it be him or someone else. So like i said very honest stand up guy. So remember that when your out there making derogitory statements about someones business that you have no idea about.

hey stik6 i hope you will call ffwd and talk to darren your self what 98 said is very incorrect and the reason darren does not post prices of motors on his website is because there are to many varibles to consider when building a motor. he would rather speak with you first that way he can quote you on a motor custom taylored to your needs and your budget. i wont lie darren is one of my very best freinds but that in is not why i speak so highly of his business i do so because he really does do incredible work he is the reason i got into dsms i have other freinds that run theyre own shops and they couldnt pay me to let them build my motor. i am very particular who i let work on my cars but with darren i would have no worries at all hope you call him dont judge his shop by BLIND HEARSAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lando, by saying that someone does not build their own motors, rather buys them from someone else and sells them at a higher price, is basically sabotaging their reputation

ive called FFWD with questions with no intent on buying from them and they were VERY helpful, id recommend them

There are many shops and sponsors on this website whom i know nothing about and my point simply was I would not discredit them having no expereince with them and like great huskie says, when you say someone does not build theyre motors and they just buy them from someone else and upp the price then thats is definately derogatory. Here this will prove my point. Let me ask you something lando, if you were going to buy a motor from a shop that claimed to build it themselves and you found out that they did not, that they just bought it from someone and the upped the price, would you buy a motor from them??? My point exactly. If thats not a derogatory comment then i dont know what is. Oh and feel free to spell check this and check for punctuation mistakes as well. what ever makes you happy. SABOTAGE
