It's a Super 16G with HRC High Flow exhaust Manifold. I don't know why people think this turbo is laggy. I hit full boost by 3100 RPM's. And it pulls so freakin hard. I think it just gets a bad rap. I'm putting on the Apexi FMIC and injectors, hopefully, later this week. Anyways just had to tell you'll about it.

Sure well. :D I'm hoping by the end of the month to have some runs with it. By then I'll have everything I mentioned above and some other things ;).

Just got the FMIC from Apexi, but it's not on the car yet. I love the turbo itself. At just 15psi it seems, to me atleast, to out pull a friends Big28 A/T FWD at the same psi. The FMIC will go on tomorrow as well as some 625 injectors, and later this week the TC will go on. Then I'm heading to the track to see what I can put up. I'm hoping for low-mid 13's untuned. But we'll see. :)

Congrats on getting the S16g. I have it and like it alot. Alot of people talk crap on it cause of what they hear from other people. I get full spool 1.1bar (16psi) by 3500rpms and thats with me running crazy rich and some vacuum line issues. Been wanting to put it on the dyno to fine tune it but I've been waitting for that damn Chargedair AFPR for 4-6 months! Probably will just get the SX one instead, tired of waitting! Also plan on hitting the track this weekend. I'll let ya know how it turns out. Even tho I have friends who say its definitly a mid to high 12 sec car because they say it pulls so hard but I doubt it with 18's and low profile tires. But we'll see. Hoping for mid to low 13's with a 110+ trap. Something to wish for;)

you say track this weekend?? if your running your car I might have to venture up there to watch :)

btw you know you can get a 1st gen charged air afpr all over the place.. just a matter of finding the right fuel rail

Actually, getting the fuel rail is no problem. Its getting that damn afpr. All the shops get the afpr from Chargedair and they are on back order and Tony at Chargedair is not answering his phone:rolleyes:

GSTwkd, Do you have HRC's high Flow Exhaust Mani? I do and I seem to it full boost when I did with the T25, anywhere from 3100-3300. And I love the torque curve with this turbo. Nice and smooth, don't have to worry about the car jerking out of my hands when I hit full boost, like witht he T25. But god the top end is awesome.

For the T3/4 i'm putting if i get full boost with anything under 4k Rpm I be happy.

the old supra had no real boost until 4500 rpm.

Lag is over rated you just have to learn to drive with it.

Well for me I get more lag then a M/T since I'm a A/T. But the High stall TC is suppose to help with that. I honestly don't care about lag as long as it's not more then 4K, since this is my daily drvier adn not a full race setup. If it was a race setup I wouldn't care when I made the boost as long as it got me to the time I want. :)

That true it hard to drive with an A/t Than a manual.

I f you want the real power you just have to lag with a little more lag.

97GSTAT--No I dont have HRC's exh. mani, I just ported the hell out of my stocker(turn round hole into large square hole). I did consider it but I think it was $499 at the time. I bought the turbo used for $600 from a guy who was going full race with his car, another 95 gst like mine;) . This is my daily driver also and thats why I have gone in this direction with my set-up. Just fine tuning now. The top-end is awesome. Pulls hard to redline:D .
What are your s-afc settings?
