I know that since i am doing more and more mods then i am going to need to upgrade my fuel system but i didn't think i would have to already. Here is the problem when my car was stock ecept for free mods and k&n i never had a problem with fuel cut, but i was also at 9psi only(don't know why). After putting on my exhaust i just started randomly boosting about 13.5 14 psi(didn't think exhaust would raise it that much), but now at about 6k rpm i hit fuel cut always in first gear and depending on the conditions in second and third but usually at about the same place. I'm pretyt sure its fuel cut my car just jerks all of a sudden and has like no power. What my question is, is this normal to be hitting fuel cut with only the mods in my profile at 14Psi or is soemthing else wrong? thanks.

i really dont know y ur hitting fuel cut, i have a k&n filter with some honeycombs hacked out of my mas, an mbc, a full turbo back exhaust, its 2.5" at the stock o2, then it bevels up to 3" about halfway through my downpipe and is 3" all the way back from there
i run 17 psi daily and have never hit a fuel cut, but i also have a rewired fuel pump so that might be helping a little, but even on my friends 2g tsi it didnt hit fuel cut untill 19 psi with intake, full 3" exhaust, and a fmic with full ic piping
but then again ur ecu cuts ur fuel based on an equation of how much air and fuel is flowing into ur engine, it realy has no connection to weather of not ur fuel system is actually maxed out, could be something as simple as a messed up MAS, just buy a fuel cut defender, u shouldnt be hittig fuel cut with ur mods and boost

thanks for the reply. Ya i couldn't figure out why it would be happining either i thought for a little while that my injectors might be bad or really dirty i don't know. I'll do the fuel pump rewire and see if that helps at all.

have u run a bottle of injector cleaner through ur car? that might help
and are u sure its a fuel cut and not just a sputter from lack of fuel? iv had both happen on my friends 2g, if its a fuel cut it will feel like the car stalls for a second, it will make ur car jerk very hard and will completly halt ur acceleration, if its a fuel cut u encountered u would not be able to keep the gas down, on that 2g at about 5000 it makes a sputtering sound and feels like almost all the power is gone, but u can keep the gas to the floor, it just doesnt accelerate fast, that sputtering out is from a combination of bad plugs and wires, and unclean injectors that are most likely running near 100% duty cycle
when u hit a fuel cut ur car will jerk so hard u will think u broke something, it could just be a lack of fuel or lack of enough spark if it just loses almost all its power, or u could just have a bad sensor somewhere in ur car thats making ur ecu think it should cut ur fuel even though it shouldnt
