Major Problem.. for a newbie?

Today I just installed a 1G BOV on my 98 Eclipse GST(fully stock). I was driving to work no problems, just the amazingly noticeable power increase. All is well. I'm making my way home, I hit a red light, make my right turn and accelerate. Then PSSSSS and I lose power(not electrical), Oil pressure, and I hear a loud air release sound. I pull down a side street, pop the hood, but with the minimal light I see nothing. All hoses/pipes are connected fine, BOV is securely fastened, I have no idea whats wrong. So I start her up again. Starts strong then drops to 100-200RPM, I try to drive away but Cant get past 8mph with a that whistling sound and my favorite black smoke ;-(. I have No idea what is goind on. I know its most likely a fuel problem. Being as its burning excess gas, running to rich. But what caused that? What do I look for? It's going to Mitsu tomorrow. But what do I even tell the guy is wrong with it. I dont want to seem like a total newbie. Pleas help...
