were can I buy just mitsubishi turbo exhaust housings? has anyone ever adapted a non-mitsu turbo to a mitsu housing so it would fit on a stock manifold? Has anyone adapted a turbo to the stock manifold so it would fit?

Lots of guys have turbine housings sitting around. I know I have a couple.

Almost every "big" turbo used on DSM's (green, red, PTE, etc) uses a different brand of turbo, that has been modified to fit on a mitsu turbine housing, or a specially made turbine housing that is designed to bolt to the stock manifold.

You can make a stock 14b into a 7cm housing without a problem if you have the knowledge and the tools. If you're thinking of replacing your stock exhaust housing on your 14b with something, I wouldn't go much bigger than 7cm. Bigger usually does mean good, but you want the exhaust gas to keep some direction and not just wander around inside a huge exhaust housing.

All of this depends on your exhaust manifold and O2 housing as well. If you do not get these ported to match it's just a waste of time. Also, if you have the exhaust side out and are toying around with it, port the wastegate hole as lasrge as you can while still getting it to seal. Port around the outside so the wastegate can open completely.

Check out www.slowboyracing.com. I'm pretty sure Mike has a couple of these laying around.
