2G MAS into a 1G

I am new to the 4G63 motor and just got done rebuilding my engine and putting a new clutch in and porting the turbo, but i have seen on EBAY that a 2G MAS is a upgrade for a 1G, I own a 92TSI and wanted to know if this would be a good upgrade for the car, or is it not worth the $75. ALSO WHAT IS INVOLVED AND WHAT PARTS ARE NEEDED. I just got the engine in and i am going to be changing a lot of things under the hood.
