I was just wondering is you guys really like FWD. Is it good for just crusing around and able to take a honda off the line. I friend is looking at a FWD and i was wondering what is it really good for.

That depends on what your goals for the car are. Gst's definetly have less parts to brake, can be easily equal or faster from a roll, are easier to find (cheaper), and make wonderful street cars. The majority of cars on the road are FF. In my opinion if you dont really car much about 60foot, drgging, rallying or simply swinging the ass all over the place(hehe), then just get a FF, it maked more sense

I love my front wheel drive.
Its a little more difficult to get a great launch at the strip.
I think it just adds to the excitement if you ask me.

Ive got a 2.0 in the 60 on regular street tires it just takes practise.

i wish I had AWD but thats only cuz I really wanted to hit some serious track #s which AWD woulda helped alot.. but on the streets you figure almost every car your gonna run into is FF.. the few that arent you can catch up to and pass with enuf mods :)

I test drove both the AWD and the FWD and liked the FWD better. I felt more "connected" to the car. I know I am not going to beat an AWD at the strip, but in day to day driving most of it is from a rolling start and then the traction becomes less of an issue.

I wouldn't trade it for the world. And not having AWD is the perfect excuse to buy an EVO VII!!

I like my WWD car. If I was wanting a track car, I would have traded it in for a GSX. But I just want a all-around nice DSM with decent power. I am hoping for 13's with the new setup I am working on. I think I will be happy there but everyone tells me when you get there, you want to go faster. I hear GS-T's pull harder then GSX's too.

i could see how FWD can pull harder because all of the power would be going the the front wheels. My friend is the one thinking of the FWD turbos. He plans on going to racing on a small closed off road. He was thinking of trying to get near 12 sec times.

i was thinking the APG lr2, thats going to be the turbo that goes on my GSX sometime in the near future (i wish)

good luck with the turbo larry. Hope you get your car done soon. When i get my LR2 im going to have to drive out to NJ and race you LOL

Heh, there was a guy at the track this weekend with a vette and was giving the other car's like a 2 car lead and still caught them on the top end. There was a few fast car's out there including a 619/600 94-95 cobra that was scary fast. Ari Yallon was also there testing new tires for his rx7. His best was 10.38@129, but best mph was 140. I'm hoping to be trapping around 118-120 with my new setup. It was supposed to go on today, but I didnt get the compressor housing back....had a 90 degree elbow welded on it. I still need to get a AFPR, but I will make do and keep the boost down until then.
