blown headgasket. head studs?

i recently blew my head gasket, and was told by one the of the areas tp dsm mechanic/tuners tht i should get the metal gasketfrom mitsubishi and arp head studs form buschurracing.com there are two kinds one that says up to 4/3/92 and the other after 4/3/92. i have a 95 gsx, do those dates mean the year of the car? and i'm having a really good mechanic(not the dsm tuner) fix my car but he isn't as familar with performance parts. if i get the studs will he know what to do with them? help me out please on which studs and all this stuff.

Might as well do hte headstuds while you're in there. You will need the 10mm headstuds from ARP.

I believe they are 11mm for 7-bolts Jeff. Or did I take one too many to the noggin?

I thought the 1G's had the 11mm, but you are right. Its 11mm for 2G and 12mm for 1G. I thought it was 10mm for 2G and 11mm for 1G. Woops..... Sorry about that.

You need the After 4-3-92. Don't get them from Buschur unless you really want to. They are cheaper from Summit or jegs.

I wouldn't use a metal headgasket period unless you are building a built bottem end. I'm much rather have my head gasket go than something else.
