Hey guys, so before I added the dejon tool 2 1/4" intake pipe, I was had my mbc set at 15-16 psi along with s-type bov and RRE UIP. So, now I added the intake pipe and Im unscrewed the mbc all the way out practically and its boosting at 20 psi. Is this normal? Do I have to take out the mbc or do you think I am pinching a tube somewhere when I added the intake pipe?

Not sure about the Joe P MBC, but normally I believe "unscrewing" it makes the boost pressure go up-- at least it does on mine (TurboXS). Try tightening the MBC screw back up some.

If that's not what you meant, please clarify a bit...

Well I think I am right about the direction.

Joey's website says the following
"To adjust the controller, loosen the lock nut and turn the adjusting screw clockwise to increase boost, counter-clockwise to decrease it."

So I dont think thats my problem. I hoped that wasn't my problem. Been having some problems with directions lately. Had trouble finding my apartment and then getting to my computer was a trip!

Check for pinched hoses, or a hole in the hose itself....

Where do you have your source for the mbc tapped at? BOV line, IC pipe, Turbo?

Source from turbo, which is the best place I think, since the pressure there is bound to be higher than the other places. Right?

Yeah, I'll have to check for pinched or leaky hoses, but I wonder if this is normal. I wonder if the mbc is unscrewed all the way, if it has no effect on the pressure going out, because if so, then something else must be wrong (like the hoses).

I'd advoide useing the tap on the turbo... Plug it off...

I personally have tried many different "tap" locations, and have had the best of luck with tapping the BOV line.

Well problem solved. A tube had just come out of place. Put it back in and secured it and boosting at 15 psi. So I didnt change the MBC inlet tube at all. What did you find was better about the BOV line tap than the turbo tap. Does it stay on a max. psi better? The only thing I dont like about my setup is it hits a peak psi value and then drops down a couple psi.
