I know SOMEBODY sells a little kit for this, forgot who.. but has anyone tried it?

you take the mas, and put it before the throttle body in the upper IC pipe, so you can pretty much just stick a air filter straight on the turbo, or vent to the atmosphere or whatever you want..

I was curious if anyone has tried this or had any experence with it.. looks like a neat idea.

NO!

The Ramchargers kits uses a TOTALLY different type of airflow meter, along with a translator to convert the signal to something out ECU's can read.

You can't use the 2g MAS after the air has been pressurized.

He specificially said "2g mas relocated to upper IC pipe" and you replied with exactly "ramchargers.com?" A little clarification was necessary.

well i apologize for reading it wrong.. a few of us make mistakes.. must be great to be perfect like you.:thumb:

the adapter i saw was for a 2g mas, i saw the ramchargers one aswell, but this was a stock 2g mas... why cant the mas be used after the turbo? just as much air flowing past it, at about the same pressure... its just getting blown through insted of sucked through... ???

that and with my current setup my intake bellows like a horney howler monkey.. very odd sound, guess its the air going through the filter

You cannot put the 2g MAS in the intercooler pipe, like I said. It will not work.

It's ok that you read it wrong, mistakes happen. However, you do not need to come back on here to give me grief and whine about how "it must be nice to be perfect." I make mistakes just like any other normal human being.

Was I supposed to just leave the incorrect information you provided up, and have people try something that didn't work, so that I didn't hurt your feelings and look like I was perfect?

He asked a question and I answered it, and I clarified what you had said.

maby thats why i cant find that setup anymore, im 100% sure i saw it, but if it doesent work then i suppose that would put a damper on sales huh:thumb:

Their are plenty of cars running a pressurized 2g mas. I think ripp superchargers has about 10 3g eclipses running around like that.

The only reasons I can see for doing this are

1. You wont lose much power from a boost leak unless it is right after the mas.

2. You can have a vented BOV.

3. The mas can read more air if it is blow through than pull. (This is what Mike Litch of ramchargers said)

You would have to change one of the sensors that read IAT, because it might freak out the ecu to see 150 degree air from your turbo, when it thinks it should be 80 degree intake air instead.
