MSD works, tach doesn't...

i was told that i didn't need a tach adapter and when i went to hook up the tach wire to the hsd, it didn't work, now that i think about who told em i didn't need the adapter, the 2 guys are running 97+ stock motor setups meaning their cam and crank angle sensors, coil pack, ignitor etc are untouched...

i am running a 95 car, AEM EMS, 1G motor/CAS, etc, could this be why my tach is not working without the tach adapter?

I had to use the tach adapter on my car. My tach would work for 5 mins and then die. Once I installed the adapter it was all good.

i'm gonna try one thing sunday, if it doesn't work i'll get the adapter

I tried everything and it still screwed up. The adapter is not expensive just buy it and be done with it.

i am pretty sure i have a MSD tach adaptor new in the box......how much are they new?

i have no idea how much they are, but $20 shipped and its yours, if that more than it isnew ....my bad i was just throwing out a number.
