mechanical gauges can be more accurate but you cant always use them. (ex. gas guage) electrical and mechanical both have ups and downs some are easier to install then others but it doesn't really matter either one will give you a nice reading provided you use a quality gauge.
 
well i picked out an autometer C2 boost gauge and an autometer C2 air/fuel gauge, and i didn't know if they'll be any good or not. ohhh yea, another question, they are 2-1/16" gauges and i was wondering if they will fit in any pod or do i need a special one?
