Ok i'm getting new plugs for my car to go along with my accel 8mm wires. I'm going NGK b/c i don't wanna waste money on the denso iridiums. My question is should i get the ngk 6 temp or 7 temp. The 6 temp are just stockers. I'm running stock turbo at 15psi. I know its more boost but its from the t2slow, so i don't wanna foul out the 7 temps b/c they are too cold for the application.

first. never ever run iridium plugs in a dsm

second. stick with the bpr6es plugs. unless you plan on running a 20g tomorrow, the stockers will do you just fine. gap them at .030".

Supposedly the Iridium plug is not gappable because of the strong center electrode, and what they come pregapped too isnt necesarily what you would want. But I havent personaly used them, so take this for what its worth.

In the case of the original poster, I would run the stock plugs, gapped to 28 to 30. I still run stock plugs into the 11s (25 psi, or more accurately 46 lbs/min) but with a 26 gap. Many others do as well. I have tried the 7s on occasion, but I never saw any difference in my knock retard at my level anyway. But many peple also like to start running the 7s once they are running 20 psi or more daily (more likely to keep the plug clean). I'm going to try 7s again this week since I'm raising the boost saturday, and if I see any improvement I'll post it here.
