i was thinking about rebuilding a tranny and was wondering if just doin a galant vr-4 swap would be better? or if the 1g with sum vr-4 components like shep offers would be better.

Just ask John what he recommends for your application. No tranny shifts better than his. Not even my TRE race spec.

The only real benefit that GVR4 tranny has is the much taller 1st gear. A junkyard tranny still isnt going to shift well enough to get those killer ETs.
