Ive heard if you put a Bov on 1g or maybe later dsm's they will either run rich becuase all the air passing through the O2 sensor thinks that more fule needs to be added. and others say it works fine but its not loud at all. Im looking to put a rfl on a 1g Laser Awd turbo its got a new engine with 50000 miles on it but i dont want it to be running rich or is there a way i can bypass the o2 sensor and get it to stay consistent no change? I definately need help on this one im lost thanks

Well, your car already has a BOV/CBV which in your case is a 1g and holds boost quite well. What i think you are talking about is disconnecting the hose on the BOV to make the phhsst sound louder, when you do this with a 1g bov you will probably have idle issues because the 1g bov does not close all the way at idle. As for running rich, if you disconnect the bov hose you will run rich because the computer thinks all the air that the bov is venting to the atomosphere is going into the engine, and so more fuel is added causing a rich condition each time you shift. If you don't want to run rich then don't disconnect the hose.

no i have a blow off valve its a turbo xs ufl but it vents to the atmosphere so it would be like disconnecting the hose anyway

Ok then, well the one way i know of to not run rich in between shifts is a vpc but it's very expensive and definately not worth it for your purpose. I think you may be able to help a little with a safc but i really don't know since i dont have one. Once a again, even if it did help the cost is not worth it.
