HKS bov

i heard it isnt good to vent your blow off valve. i have a hks bov and it is vented. How can i modify my MAF so i can vent it cause I like the sound of it vented. it seems to be running fine but i was wondering if it is good to keep it vented or if not what i can do to vent it and not worry about it

buy ramchargers gm mas translator then put the mas air after the blow off valve and you shouldn't have any problems venting.

You can't modify YOUR maf to do what you want. You "THINK" your car is running OK however I will assure you that it is not. If you have a logger have a look at your O2 between shifts it will be very rich. This washes away lubrication in the cylinder chamber, give you bad gas mileage and reduces overall performance of your car. That BOV running the way it is now is basically worse than a stock setup. You would be better off going back to your stock CBV than to run an HKS vented.

You can buy a re-sirc kit from HKS and route it back into your intake like how it should be done. Or you can do what AWDRST said and get a Ramchargers MAFT... Either way will be prefectly fine. The re-route kit is much cheaper.

Notice how they list our cars specifically? Thats because even HKS knows the valve MUST be re-routed. It's the same part for all year cars...

man......u wont even really need to. i have the hks ssqv and am routing to the atmo, i notice not problems AT ALL. just a nasty smell of exaust everytime my bov opens.

For the love of god, people. This has been beat to death, and I know cOdegsx has been on here long enough to know better.....VPC, MAFT, or just don't vent.
