what intercooler pipe size are your running

well it it time for me to buy an intercooler pipes. i was wondering what size you guys are running and what u would all recomend. i was gonna get 2.5" but my friend said to get 2.75". so i was wondering what u all think. here are my mods
its a 1g tsiAwd
small 16g
k&n intake kit
2.5" turbo back exhaust(straight pipe)
boost controller
guages
walbro 190 fuel pump

i kno i should have gotten the intercooler piper before the 16g but this is how the car came when i bougt it
 
NEVER EVER listen to "your friend", "that guy you know", "your dads friend", or "that guy at the auto parts store" they are always morons!

keep it at 2 1/4 for a sm16G

that scares me that he told you 2.75 for a sm16G....i wont be buyin from there.
 
To clarify, Nate is not "from" AGP, he is good friends with them and the question as to the size of the piping was in reference to future plans. As the story goes, smaller IC plumbing is better for good low end power and larger piping is better for top end higher flow. The notion to run larger was assumed that a larger turbo would be utilized down the road. There ya go.

Now that sounds like an intelligent response. I dont want to hijack this thread, so Ill start a new one if I need to. What's the best upper UICP and IC end tank size for a responsive 2.4 street motor running either a 60 trim or a 60-1 turbo? I'll keep the TB just a little larger to avoid restriction.
