Simple MBC question.

I am trouble shooting my turbo laser right now. I ordered a Manual Boost Controller for it, but while I iron out the bugs I'd like to turn the boost down a bit. Is it possible to turn the boost down to say 1 or 2 psi with a MBC?

I'm not sure if you can turn the boost down or not. When I got my MBC, I had the dial all the way in, and it still read 11psi, which is what it was before. I wasn't able to turn the boost down.

You should be able to crank it down pretty low with a MBC, but I don't think you can get it that low. If you get it to around 6-8 psi, you'll be able to fix your other problems. Your other option is to leave the BCS on the car till you get everything else fixed.

You can only turn the boost down to the pressure that is set by the spring in the wastegate actuator, plus any creep you may have. If you have no creep, then you can go as low as 9 psi with a TDO5 turbo.

The answer you are looking for is no. You can only go as low as your wastegate is designed. Check the wg you are using for the minimum presure (ex Tial). Not sure of what stock is rated, but you get the point.
Why do you want to go so low? Boost is what these cars are all about

True but I don't want to run high boost until it's smooth. Better safe than sorry.

Also, I'm curious now. Can I replace the WG spring to a "looser" one temporarily so it opens at around 4-5psi? And where can I get one?
