GreenBelt,
Got the car back from the shop today with the following work done. New head and hks 272 cams. the head has been line bored to accept the cams perfectly. With the rockers out and the cam cap torque is 15 lb's the cams spin like butter.
The timing belt has been replaced along with the tensoner pulley and belt tensioner. All this work was performed by the shop.once I got the car home I cranked the car made some fuel and idle adjustments and the car idled dead nuts and 750 rpms with -15" of vacuum.
Once I blipped the throttle it began to tick and the egts began to rise. The tick became louder and louder at this point the car died. I attempted to re fire the motor and heard at loud pop and once again the car would not fire and the intake cam appeared to be about 3 teeth off with the crank at top dead center.
I pulled a few cam caps to check for starvation and the cams were well lubed with no signs of friction related damage. Its apparent that something is not being done correctly, Any help would be great.
