Let me preface this by saying I don't have dsmlink yet (or any other fuel management, for that matter). But I will offer my opinion anyway.

With enough effort, you can make almost anything work. It's not a very elegant solution, though, I wouldn't think, to hack together some homemade, kludgey dsmlink clone to get it to work on a 1G any more than it would be to get an e-manage to work. This is just my opinion, but I wouldn't run some bastardized dsmlink until the actual dsmlink people release an official 1G version.

The adapter to run DSMLink in a 1g is no more kludgey than the harness used with a HKS VPC. It attaches to the car in the exact same fashion. Depending on the person who assembles it, it may not be quite as visually pleasing as the HKS harness.

The install of a DSMLink into a 1g requires no cutting of any factory wire and the 95 ECU will bolt into the OEM ECU location in the car.

From what I have heard, DSMLink for a 1g ECU is not something we're likely to see soon, if ever.

I don't feel that my harness looks too bad, not that it is visible anyway. It still needs some zip ties to tie it all together better but for the most part it's finished. I left the wires longer than is needed in hopes of it being easier to install than the short wired VPC harness I had the pleasure of installing some time ago.

Good info-- sorry I came across a little rough; after rereading my post later I wish I would've phrased some things more diplomatically. Anyway, thanks for not getting all defensive and pissy. After all, I was pretty much speaking out of my arse since I don't have dsmlink for 1G, 2G, or any G (yet). If you can get it to work, I guess it's good enough. I would be a little apprehensive to try it on my one and only car at this point, however.

don't worry about it doug this site is where i did search and not much came up nothing said for 2g's
ok now my question is what should i use for piggy back fuel computer apexi s-afc or greddy e-manage.
For the e-manage i might be able to make my own ecu harness i have a few ecu lying around the garage
my mods are fully built short block and the head has ss valves springs cams, cam gears
my goals for the car are mostly auto x and some drag racing
Thanks for the help everybody
