Turbo acting goofey.

Ok, today i was coming home from work and this ghetto cruiser comes up to me in his lowerd pos impala with broken back window and starts revin on me right. so i give him the n0d and Floor it from about 40 mph. well about 2 secs after i gunned it the turbo kicked out then back in and then did it again, then ran perfectly fine to about 105 when i cut her down and saw the impala slowing catching up screaming while laughing nice rice. well anyway do u have any idea why my turbo all the sudden spudders almost cuts out then back to norm again?

well it lost boost regained then lost and regained again then was fine

nah man no popping almost like the turbo was chokin or somthin had to catch its breath best i can discribe it made no weird sounds just lost power twice about 2 secs apart then was fine.

did it feel like you hit a brick wall when it cut out?? sounds like fuel cut to me

nah its not fuel cut, i was only going about 60. then about 65 it happend again and was fine till about 100 when the other guy gave up.

doesnt matter what speed your going,.. fuel cut is boost dependent.. when it hits hard and most.. I hit fuel cut at like 20mph before and at like 70 before..

fuel cut is when you MAS tells your ECU youre getting to much air for your injectors to handle (ie to much boost) and the ECU shuts off fuel so you cant give the car throttle.. nasty feeling.. someone correct me if Im wrong..

well it was up a slight hill maybe thats what caused it to much stress or something hell i dont know. i havnt installed my mbc yet so my boost levels are still stock. i get my ic pipes and type S in a week so ill most likely be asking install questions then
but thanx larry hopefully it was just a fluke and wont happen much more.

i mean its not definitely your problem but a possability.. if it was a harsh drop in power then its most likely fuel cut, if its stuttering then its more likely wires/plugs.. both are common DSM issues

well, i just got new wires and plugs from my 60, 000 mile tune up. but the plugs and wires they put in were just oem stock stuff. would magnecor wires and ngk plugs make alot of differnce?

yes.. plugs/wires are usually the first mod a DSMer makes.. I know it was mine..
