My friend told me today about this thing that is like an alternative to nitrous. He says that it is a bottle of co2 that mounts on the intake. co2 is very cold so i am guesing that somehow they must cool the intake air and, like if it was going through an intercooler on a turbo car, and it injects alot more fuel. He told me that it gives you fifty more horspower. I just was wondering if anyone heard of this shit. It sounds to good to be true so it probably has bad effects on the car or something. Anyone with ne info...post it...lata

maybe hes talking about an intercooler sprayer that cools your intercooler. injecting co2 into ure engine is just gonna displace all the oxygen in there therefor creating less power..........someone correct me if im wrong.

i dont thin so he said that it mounts to the intake and that you only get like one or two shots out of it before it has to be refilled. Refilling it costs like ten bucks...i am gonna get more information from him...i am really confused

Yea CO2 into the intake charge would put out the fire. Like inside a fire extinguisher is CO2. thats how they work. A fire is just rapid oxidation, so you spray CO2 all over it and voila no more oxidation.

We do want oxidation inside our combustion chambers tho, hence some people use N2O to enhance the oxidation properties of an air/fuel charge.

The CO2 can only be used to cool the intake charge by cooling the intercooler or other pipes. From the outside.

so your saying that it is a spray for the intercooler to cool the air even further? So this Co2 stuff woudl only be able to be put on a car with a turbo and an intercooler?

Ive seen websites selling CO2 sprayer kits for your intercoolers, though I dont remember exactly which one I just saw it somewhere yesterday.

Man im really liking the new systems on you're site. if you are interested in some really nice O2 tanks www.smartparts.com has carbon wrapped 45-88ci certified tanks that we use for our new guns. they also have some other cool stuff that may interest you;) I *really* like the hobbs boost switch. I have one question for you. We used the have kids come into the store with ruptured tank burst disks from leaving full o2 tanks in the car in excessive heat. Have you run into this problem?

What your buddy is talking about is an intercooler sprayer or a product from NX called an Ntercooler.

All it is, is a ring that goes over the intercooler and sprays compressed gas be it nitrous or Co2 onto your intercooler and makes it really cold.

The other one available is from DEI (who makes the header wrap we all love) they have one that starts by going through a piece of 3" pipe with a ball in the center that you put in your intake, then through a piece of fuel rail stock that you run your fuel through before your real fuel rail to cool the fuel then finally it goes out to an intercooler sprayer so you get triple the cooling. (the intake, fuel system and intercooler). It's a pretty cool idea and I got to look at it when I was as SEMA it seemed pretty cool.

I have an Ntercooler on my own car and have no dynoed the power gain yet, however my buddy picked up 23whp on his 350whp Miata with it.

DSMjim do u have know where you cna go to get the system that cools in three ways? that sounds like it would be a good thing to put on the car for a lil extra hp.
