Cheapest place to get HKS cams?

Anyone know the cheapest place to get HKS cams? I'm looking for either a 264/272 combo or the 272/272. Who's got the best price?

Unless you have a hookup, I would say RRE is about the cheapest and most reputable dealer you can get them at. 290 each I believe, but not sure on the availability. I know last year, they were a big demand and they was out of stock for awhile on one of the 272 cam's.

I agree... I would drop the extra $10 each and make sure that slowboy KNEW that I was from DSMtuners... take care of the sponsors... they take care of the site...

wtf? one of the SITE SPONSORS sells them for $290 each... 290+290=580... why not just got with a REPUTIBALE DEALER... drop the extra five bones, be a sport, and help the site out??

Yeah I sent rage an email I was going to buy a set from them but they only take cashiers check or money orders. No way am I sending close to 600 bucks to some shop in cali and hope I get something in return. I would have dropped the cash on the spot on their auction but It just not a secure enough of a transaction for me.

I will most likely use RRE or Slowboy if either of them are in stock.

Ask if you can use an Escrow service if you dont trust them. They confirm the product is in the mail and the Escrow company holds your money, if the item is shipped they realease the money to the vendor.

i get my parts through them thats about all. low prices and i get them quick and they are local to me and let me use shop space.

What are you using shop space for? You don't know how to work on cars.

The website looks VERY questionable. And add to that that the biggest crook on here(Manny, aka TurboAWD92GSX), recommends them, and I would steer clear.

Some fly by night places will legitimately get you the lower prices, some will just take your money. Its a risk that you don't have when you deal with larger well established businesses. Do you want to risk $500 to save $5? But even if they are getting you a few bucks lower prices, remember that these guys arent the one spending the time, effort, and $$ to develop DSM performance. Supporting the shops that do that work, is good for everybody in the DSM community.

I chose availability over price, Extreme motorsports always has hks cams in stock. Sometimes its worth the extra cost to get a part without waiting.

I live within a few miles of Manny and will gladly tell everyone that he is a con artist and he bags about it. And lets all your friends know that rage is Manny and Manny is Rage Motorsports. Its close enough to bve true.

what does cookies and fudruckers have anything to do with this. i say just call the place and see if they are legit. i would use my credit card which he says they take and see if they send out your cams. if not you call up your creidt card company say i didnt get what i paid for a get a refund. its as simple as that. then you would know if they are a legit shop or not with good prices. and then post your experience.

also if you buy out of state you get no sales tax. which is good cause cams are about 580 dollars. shipping for cams isnt that much. its about 15 dollars tops. and thats for priority mail.

I'm sure the cumminity already knows of mann. i did way back in September. he ripped off a guy that lives close to me. i know not to deal with him directly but if there is a shop he says has good prices i wouldnt see the risk. its a shop not him. and i doubt he could have opened up his own shop if he doesnt even know how to work on cars. let alone i doubt a 18year old kid doesnt have the money to open one up no matter how many people he has ripped off. im going to give rage motorsports a call today and see what they say on the cams.
