Just to start out I recently put on a turbo back 3" except for the 2.5 connection to the turbo (T25). Dejon tool upper intercooler pipe and throttle body with HKS SSQV.

My stock boost has always been around 14 psi. I put on these new mods and it spikes up to about 17. Today i just pulled out my sidemount and flushed it with gasoline. Now im hitting about 20 psi. I really concerned that i will blow the turbo. I have a profec B waiting to be installed, but i dont know if you can turn stock boost pressure. how high is safe for a T25? As well as any ideas of why its boosting so high, maybe boost leaks , any links to a FAQ to make a pressure tester...

With those added mods, you are going to be boosting more than you would normally, its just natural as you are freeing up some major restrictions in the car. I would put install the profec b and then adjust the boost to around 15psi or so. You can go higher than that, but the gains are just not there as this turbo tends to die in the upper rpm band. And i wouldn't recommend boosting to 20psi all day long without the proper supporting fuel mod's. The turbo will handle it (it will decrease its life span though), but I would be more concerned about your engine instead.

Well you don't half to get a profec B.. manual boost controllers are bar none better boost controllers then Electric..but it all Personal preferences..I thought the Profec B was a piece of SH!T thats why i sold it..

Maybe a little bit of porting work is in store for you. I'm sure the new gaskets wouldn't hurt either. Just port that wastegate hole nice and good and that should help reduce your boost creep/spike.

14b>T25

Good luck man, Jake

What kind of boost controller do you have now? If you don't then you need to get that profec b in otherwise you have no way of tuning the boost. Whenever I put mods on my car I usually have to tune the boost controller again cause the boost goes up. You probably need to do the same but with no boost controller you can't.
