My question is, can you do it, where, and what benefits? i havent heard anything about this, just the exhaust turbine housing and etc. will porting the outlet on a 14b/16g make any difference? looking to get the biggest bang for the buck out of a stock turbo. any ideas?

You just need to port the exhuast housing. I dont think anyone gets any performance from porting anything on the compressor side.

I believe porting the exhaust housing and wastegate will net you the most benefit, however every little bit helps. Porting the compressor side along with a new (larger diameter) outlet elbow wouldn't hurt.

if you have a t25 comp housing, obviously you don't but for others that do, its a good idea to port the inlet. if you look at it, you will notice that it has a reverse taper. for instance, my 50 trim garrett has a wide opening that tapers down to the size of the wheel. on the t25, however, it starts off narrow and widens to the size of the wheel.

i slightly ported the comp outlet on my 50 trim also, mainly to smooth things out. with the proper tools, the comp housing should only take a very small amount of time, so why not?
