hey guys just wondering what the average boost creep was because i think mine is a little outrageous. . . i have a 2.5 dp with a full 3 catless exhaust. . . . how ever i run 10psi and then boost creep up to 16 in 1st, up to 17 in 2nd and have even seen it hit 20!!!!! if im hard on the throttle and forget to watch the level? ive heard of people creeping a pound or two but nothing like this??? by the way i hit fuel cut it 1st and 2nd but not the others? could my guage be wrong?
:dsm:

Ive seen mine creep up to around 16 psi! My boost is set at 11psi and I dont want to set it higher anymore.

sucks doesnt it? all i want is to run a solid 15 psi - but no i have to set mine at 10 and only go like 3/4 throttle :( really sucks when your racing someone and have to back off the throttle so you dont over boost . . . . ahhhh wish i could do something about it :(

I can hook you up with a 3000gt vr4 fuel pump (180lph, quiet, and fits right in place of stock pump) for 50 bucks tonight if you want, then you can boost 17 w/o much worry. Send me a PM with your email, name, etc.

Mine shoot's to 10psi by 3300, then creeps to 14-15psi at 6500.

I have a big16g with EvoIII manifold, ported O2 housing, 3" DP and 3" catback. I bought the car with these mods, so I'm going to pull the turbo off and port the exh. housing/wastegate outlet to try remedy the problem. If it does, then I'm setting the boost at 16psi. :D

If this makes you feel better i have a 16g with full 3" exhuast and i creep hella, but it depends on the temperature of the air outside. Sometimes i will get my 14psi then creep to 17psi which is fine with me. But the other days i will go ffom 14psi to fuel cut or 20psi+ i let off at 19psi now. Oh i didnt telll you. I have a 34mm wastegate flapper and a ported o2 hosing and i stil get this creep. Now i will be putting on a evoIII o2 housing (got it yesturday) and hoping that helps if it does not i will be putting a cat on.

0 Creep @ 16PSI. Check my mods for info. There has also been a thread recently about porting the wastegate outlet divider with very positive results. I also have some friends who work at a local speed shop that specializes in WRX turbos. They got a big shipment of ETE turbos in, and as I was looking them over, I noticed that there is no divider between the wastegate passage on the turbo and the exhaust outlet. If you have creep, and have done the flapper mod, you may want to remove the divider. Makes a lot of sense to have the wastegate dump into one big chamber and one small chamber than just one small chamber.

I had no creep before I installed the O2 housing dump tube, now the fu@%*ng thing creeps up to the point that I get fuel cut.

I'm taking it out today...FINALLY.....Back to my steady 17psi not more, not less.:D

0 creep @ 14psi.

But I was getting 4-5 psi of creep until I ported my manifold and O2. The O2 alone didn't get rid of it but the combo of the two did. I have no idea how but it did

whats that flapper mod? how do i do it? - how long does it take to port out the 02 and mani???

As enraged78 said, if you port out your turbo and wg flapper correctly, there would be no reason to worry about boost creep. I have the divider ported off of my turbine housing and after that, no creep at all. There are a bunch of other threads about this already.
"how much boost creep are you guys getting?"

The answer should be none if its done right.
