Ok, so there's the red wire and black wire that needs to be spliced for power. I use the crimp connector and go under the dash. I tried to find some 20 gauge sized wire to splice into since the profec wires seem to be 20 gauge size. The only wire that wasn't already spliced into were 14 gauge. So I spiced the 14 gauge wire and the profec's 20 gauge wire together (red with red/black with black). Well when I turn on the ignition I get no power (and yes I pushed the power button). Anyone have any ideas on where to spice into? Should I splice into the radio wire?

Also, is it ok to drive without the boost controller working? I'm running an aftermarket turbo with an external WG.

I'm thinking of getting The Profec B
How hard was it to install the Profec B Boost controller???

Is it the same concept as the Manual Boost Controller, not counting the wiring connections, of course.

profec b is da s#!T.... took me about 35-45 minutes to install and once i got it set right.....OMG mindblowing... was worth the money believe me!!!!:thumb:

..Yup, I second that, I have a Profec A -LOVE IT! (well once you remove those f*cking crappy plastic inline filters (they work great for the first 15K, then because of the heat, the glue that was used to hold the things together lets go because of the underhood temps). I lost the big one that goes inline to the FPR.-This resulted in uncontrolled boost! (I hit about 27 PSI in my Talon, pegging the Autometer 25lb max boost guage! -That was FRICKEN SCARY/FAST... Thank God nothing broke!!).

-The guy with the problem-

If you DON'T have an external waiste gate, then don't use that setting! -Those DIP switches in the back are there for setting up different car's configurations (i.e., if you're still running a T-22 through a Big16G turbo, LEAVE it on INTERNAL Waste Gate).

Second, the lower vaccume hose (on the OE FPR Solenoid) that you have the boost gauge and the Profec hooked up to should have only the Profec's hose T'ed into, the boost guage should be on the other side of the FPR Solenoid (the upper vaccume hose that goes from the Intake Plenum to the OE FPR Solenoid).-T it in there.

Third, you should have it wired to either a 12V+ accessory or a 12V+ ignition source (a wire that tests 12V+ when the key is in the accessory or ignition position). -In a 1G, You can use the Blue wire from behind the radio (this is the radios 12V+ input and will work off of the Radio's Fuse in the fuseblock. and or the blue wire on a two pin plug that's behind the drivers side's lower center console cover pannel (that'll be the Cig Lighter's power/ground feed). -This wire will work off of the Cig Lighter Fuse in the fuseblock.

If the Profec B is anything like the Profec A, the unit will not turn on if the stepper motor assembly is not plugged into the controller with the data bus cable.
