alrighty kind of a techy question here

i have a 1g talon tsi now. i was thinking about this. how much of a gain is there in the upper pipes on these? they are not as choked off as the 2g's are.

the car has the stock one now. but it appaers i have a buschur upper ic pipe {pull to tb} in my garage for some odd reason.

the only other mod on the car is hacked air can and hax0rd mass air.

anyone have a clue? come on 1g guys!

Well I'd go ahead and replace the piping. The 1G UICP is still a major restriction with more pieces made of different material. The stock piping necks down to about a 1 5/8" I believe at the TB elbow. You are definately better off with the Buschur unit. Remember the 1Gs are older cars and although the UICP is less prone to flex than the 2Gs the chances of the pipes being cracked and worn is greater in a 13 or so year old car.
