Oil Cooler Size?

What is the minimum size for an external/air oil cooler?

What size AN fittings will work in the oil filter housing?

I'm trying to decide what route to take, using the water cooled oil cooler which I have the housing for and not the water pipe. Or the external cooler which I have the housing and water pipe for, but not the actual oil cooler.

I'd say with being more in snow than you are in hot areas, you'd be better-off with a watercooled one, which would serve to keep the oil temps steady when it's cold.
