GM MAF 3 1/2 is this what i need? It's off of a truck.

I found this in the local area for a good deal just wanting to know for sure if this is what I need for the maf translator or not. Looks right but just want to be sure.

Details: "2000 CHEVY 1500 TRUCK MAF/MASS AIR FLOW
THIS IS A MASS AIR FLOW UNIT WITH A 4.8L ENGINE (PART# 25168491 AND 0669706). 3.5" Mass Air Flow Sensor."

yeah,i think it is compatible with all GM MAF sensors,it looks like the ones in the pictures dose'nt it?

Do a search in the tuning forum. There is a 30 page post that lists the units that work and the ones that don't work.

Is it worth risking detonation and possible destruction of your block to get a good deal just to find out that its not the proper part? Go to www.gmpartsdirect.com and get the proper MAF. This way you are absolutely sure that you are getting what you need and you dont end up chasing your tail looking for new problems that seem to have come from no where. I've been reading the MAFT group for a while a this seems to be a problem. Guys dont have any idea what MAF they really have and are having all kinds of problems, only to find out that they have the wrong MAF.
