Fuel Pres Regs

I was wondering what kind of FPR's everyone was running. The only ones i here about are the B&M and the Aeromotive one that sells for like 300$ through bruschur. Did some searching but couldnt come up with anything. Can anybody give me some more types of regulators, i think some company callled SX makes one? thanks.

SX is the same as Aeromotive. There are a few shops that custom ones but I can't remember who they are. I think there is a spoolin fpr??? Oh well I can't think sorry.

The B&M isn't really considered to be a fuel pressure regulator. It's more of a fuel pressure riser. It does not give you the ability to turn down the fuel pressure, which is what needs to be done with a pump like the whineboro 255 or supra.
Most people go with the Aeromotive/SX, especially now that Buschur has made a true bolt-on as compared with the older kits where you had to either tap or weld an AN fitting on to the end of the rail.

Isnt it better to rise the fuel pressure to around 44psi at least? even wit a aftermarket fuel pump you still arent taking advantage of it with the stock 36psi, ya know?

Sure, for a stock set-up or with a 190 pump, but when you step up to the 255 like most people do, you over-run the stock FPR and your pressure rises to at least 44psi. That's when you need to turn down the fuel pressure and you realize your B&M wanna-be fuel pressure reg. is pretty worthless.

Get a aeromotive/sx regulator. you can buy them anywhere that sells them/ I beleive the model number (off the top of my head) is like 15404, which is the one that most of us use. Its got a built in tap on the front for a pressure gauge which eliminates the need to tap the fuel filter (which is pointless if your upgrading that also) or T'ing into the feed line. Check out the parts guide and use a search engine and you will see all the places that sell them. I think Summit is prett dang cheao when it comes to this. If you want more help PM me and I can help you make a list of what you may need, thus eliminating the need to spend mroe cash through a dsm vendor selling a kit

there is a "spoolin up" afpr. and from what i here it works rather well.

personally i run the SX afpr and love it.

naw the spooling up one is crap too...mine took a dump on me after it took forever to get it. now im getting the buschur one.

Is it really worth the 275$ for the brushur type package? As you can see, im running the 255hp and im having idle problems (the car keeps stalling). Is it going to be worth the money? Or should i bypass that and get something else like a fuel comp? thanks

I know its worth it for you guys but the most hp i will be pushing will e about 300-350.Anyways, thought i would clear that up.

hey fuel management is something you don't wanna play around with.... to me the busschur one is worth it......it comes with everything just check it out.

true.

the walbro will outflow your stock fpr. so you will need something to get the pressure under control. only an afpr can do that. i installed mine the same time the pump went in to be on the safe side.

imho, i think its worth the money. just like buying the right turbo for you the first time around.
