BOV leak?

Hey, I just purchased new TurboSmart BOV and before installing it I applied vacuum with a pump to the vacuum port of the valve and it doesn't really hold much i can't even make it open. The stock 1G holds vacuum . Is this normal??thanks

usually a bov wont open with just vacuum pressure.... and remember when u let off the gas and are revving down you should have about 20in/hg AND boost pressure pushing on it along with the vacuum pulling it open.
