homemade downpipe?

I have decided to throw together a homemade downpipe(anything has to be better than stock)when i throw on the 14b.I'll also just rig up an exhaust to fit for the mean while. I just have a couple questions though:

1) I want to make a 3" downpipe, would it be better to go from 2.5" to 3" right after the O2 hosing flange, or should I just wait till right after the flex section.

2) Since I'm going to be porting the O2 housing should I just use the stock flange or should I get the evo III flange(Do the bolt wholes even line up?)

i made my own. mine is a little different though. i also made my own o2 housing, and that is where the 2.5"-3" flare takes place. my old one was 2.5" until the flex.

what angle is your first bend? is it a 90

just shy of 90*, but like i said, my o2 is custom too. nothing is in the stock location. i have found the hooker bends from summit to be the greatest quality and almost the cheapest available.

I think RRE sells a 72* bend for just that purpose. I need to make one as well. I just cant see spending so much on a dp. I cant believe companies are getting so much for them!
