hey,
i just put in my turbo 3inch back exhaust and a turbo xs bypass valve, i started driving it and it back fires when i get in the higher rpm's? i have also the ported o2 sensor and a kn air filter. i dunno whats wrong, any clues?

Do you have any fuel mods? Like a pump or even the rewire? If so It could be overdoing your injectors and the unused gas is firing in your exhaust....

If it happens when you shift at high RPMs it is cause you are venting to the atmosphere and the engine is running rich between those shifts. Especially if you still have the stock cat, alot of unburnt fuel resides in there.

My car does the same thing. When i get up to 5k rpms it starts sputtering and backfireing really bad. I've still got the stock turbo, 3 in turbo back exhaust with no cat, and a stock fuel system with no rewire and an safc. I also have a stupid autometer a/f guage that i am about to rip out and throw out the window. I have the afc set at around -6 and -7 at high throttle and it still reads richer than before i got the afc. Could this be caused by a boost leak?
