Need pic of 95/96 CAS!

Just so you know, 95'-96' Turbo DSM's do not have a CAS or Cam Angle sensor. You probably need pics of a 97-99 CAS. Check on RoadRace Engineering's site, I believe I saw the swap there, and they had pics. Good luck with what ever your doing.

yes they do...it's right behind the cam gear on the intake side...it doesn't look like a 97-99 cas, but it does have one...sorry i don't have a pic nor do i know where to find one...like gsxtacy said, your best bet maybe to check out rre's site...now that i think about, i pretty sure they had a pic on there from a long time ago...back when everyone first started putting 1g heads on 2g's...they didn't know to use the 1g cas so they were machining the 1g head to take the 95-96 cas...check it out...hope this helps...

Wrong. Every DSM needs 2 signals to run: a cam position sensor signal and a crank position sensor signal. Both are needed.

In 1G CAS's, both signals come from the same unit.

In stock 95-96 cars, the cam sensor is under the intake cam gear and is triggered by a trigger plate on the gear. The crank sensor is down by the crank on the front case and is triggered by the crank trigger plate.

In stock 97-99 cars, the crank sensor is setup the same as the 95-96's, but the cam sensor is on the head in the stock 1G location. However the 97-99 cam sensors only put out a single signal, not 2 like the 1G cas's.

Yeah, on a 95-96 CAS is on the intake cam. Pretty much fills the entire wheel. I can get you a pic, but not until I go home at lunch (I took the 1G to work today to tune her up for the track tonight). If you can wait, let me know and I will get it for you.
