im going big in the next week, how big? 50 trim most likely. So heres my problem...im a freeway guy, ive seen GSTs keep up with BPU+++ supras and thats pretty much my aspirations as of now.

the problem is intercooling, ive heard so many stories about cars over heating with the wrong front mount. im being told apexi will resolve this but im not sure its appropriate for 350ish hp

anyone out there have this same goal and maybe some insight on what sort of core to go with? id prefer to make my own end tanks and piping for pure cost reasons.

im thinking about getting a fluidyne and external oil/tranny coolers so i can have fun on the trips to las vegas.

A big core will only make a already exisiting cooling system problem more visible.

I live in AZ I have a 12x24x3.5 core and my car does not overheat.

oh god arizona, and your car does well in the 100+ day time heat?

its says on your website that you got a new core is that the 12x24x3.5 or did you go bigger? if you went bigger would you want to sell your old unit :)

thanks

mike

Ya that is my new IC. I just don't have the pic on the site but they are in my thread and in the gallery.

I already sold my old IC.

L2R...you went with the VP Race Kit right? I think I remeber talking to you about it and I got the Super Street Kit...how have you liked it so far?

one problem may be your liscence plate inside of the "mouth" on your front bumper, that'll probably need to be moved for a front mount to work at its best

i put it in the mouth a long time ago and havent gotten around to moving it. it will be in the stock location with a FMIC like on 99silvermissile's car.

You can hook up a switch to turn on the fans from inside the car. It's on the VFAQ's. It's also a good idea to make sure there is some ducting on the sides of the intercooler to keep air from spilling around the sides or bottom. Fabricate some ducing so that all the air has to go through the core.
