:talon: I was Wondering what are the benifits of putting a 2G MAF on a 1g. I am still Getting an eradic idle and on occasion my car stalls. i was wondering if getting a 2g MAF would cure this. I know there is a faq on curing the idle prob just wondering if this would do the trick?

Unfortunately, that is not one of the many benefits of upgrading to a 2nd gen MAS.

The whole idea behind that upgrade is to allow more metered air.
The first gen MAS is horribly inefficient, and loses count of the air quite rapidly once you get past the stock turbo. The 2nd Gen MAS is a bit more efficient, supporting up to, I believe, a 20G or equivalent turbo. (Edit - You can't just slap one on, you need to have some tuning aid to account for the metering differences.)

There are numerous potential reasons behind your weird idle problem, but I don't think that doing the 2G MAS would solve it.
