Does anyone have any experience with Vibrant Performances's nylon braided hose? The price is very appealing, and I don't think Vibrant would put their names on something that isn't quality. But at the same time, when a price is too good to be true, it usually is. Russel's ProClassic is about $22 more expensive, and Earls Pro-Lite is $37 more.

I plan to use this mainly for my catch can setup, but if anyone has some positive reviews of it, I may upgrade my shitty stainless lines at my oil cooler.

Thanks!

Also, any word on how good their fittings are would be nice to know as well :thumb:

Update:

I ordered the braided line and the fittings. They both appear to be quality. I haven't installed them yet since I'm still waiting for my catch can from Calan (and being powder coated by Justin from Detective Coating) so I can't comment on how they perform, however (based on simply just looking at them and inspecting them) they seem to be a bit nicer than the cheap-o Fragola, or A1 brands.

The thread engagement is very smooth, which is something I didn't like about the Fragola fittings I had used in the past (the Fragola fittings I had seemed to have really rough thread engagement. Maybe a bad batch?). Also, I noticed that the swivel feature seems to be very stiff on these fittings, which I *assume* is because of a tighter tolerance.

The hose is like any other braided line: rubber hose with a single stainless braid round the rubber then completely braided with a black nylon. Very flexible for -10. Nothing special here, other than the sweet price.

I'll try to post some pictures this weekend, and then some more pictures when I get my catch can setup installed.

So far, for the price, I'm satisfied. If all goes well, I will be replacing my oil cooler lines with Vibrant brand fittings and braided lines which is currently Earls fittings and SS Braided lines (I am redoing it only because the fittings in the kit were not the ideal angles and put the lines too close to the ground for my comfort)

That's not a bad deal. The hose looks like it would be pretty rough though? ProClassic hose is frickin' wrapped in cotton! It's very nice to work with and surprisingly tough. The fittings are nice too, they were a huge step up from the Mr. Gasket junk included in my AFPR install kit.

I've yet to order a -10 hose for the catch can outlet, so maybe I'lll try this Vibrant stuff. :thumb:

It's not rough at all. I'll try to get some decent pictures up this weekend. Either way, it beats the shit out of SS line. Man do I despise that shit. My finger tips and painted car surface cringe at the though of braided SS

Interesting experience with the Fragola fittings. For me amongst Fragola, Earl's, and Summit Racing, the Fragola have been the best/easiest to use and definitely had smooth threads. I always breathed a sigh of relief when using them over the others as they gave my hands a nice break from the hell the others were to use. I've only used them when the either they were the only fitting available or at the right price, and my experience is limited to a handful of applications (catch can, accusump, oil cooler, two FPRs) so take my experience with a grain of salt.

I have heard great things about Fragola, so I don't mean to bash them, as I could have just had a bad batch. Of the 3 fittings I used from them, one of them the threads stripped out, another I just didn't feel comfortable using based on how the threads felt as they engaged, and the third seemed to be just fine. So who knows?

As for A1, I used them on my oil return line. And they threaded terribly, and leaked at the swivel.

My Earls, Russel, and XRP fittings have all been top notch. Just really $$$

Also, I did forget to mention, these fitting ARE made in China (but what isn't these days?), so for some of you that may or may not be an issue.

Hey guys, I haven't forgotten about this. Some of these parts were on back order for some time, plus I was waiting for my valve cover to get finished. But I did take a few pictures of the assembled hose. The two top lines off the VC are -8 and the photo with the two 90° fittings is a -10. Notice the NICE bend radius on of the -10

My over all impressions of this stuff so far is; It's awesome. Easy to cut, easy to assembly, easy to route, and it's gentle on finished surfaces.

There is a single braid of stainless under the nylon, so you still have to be a bit careful when assembling it as you can still get your fingers stabbed, but it's really not that bad.

*PLEASE* Excuse my dirty engine bay, and crappy cell phone pictures
