Princeton,
This may sound real stupid, but I can't get the spark plugs out, what size do I need, I have the spark plug socket, but it's a 5/8's one, is this only for american cars? Please help?

I believe it is a 3/4" plug socket that fits, I am nowhere near my tools right now to tell you for sure.

uh Are you sure I tried that and it didn't go all the way, wtf, it's either too small or too big, any one that can tell me for sure, This is so stupid but I don't want to push too hard and get big socket jamed in there

If you don't have the "large" spark plug socket, use an 18mm deep. But you will have to wangle the spark plugs outta the hole, as there is no rubber o-ring in the 18mm.

If all you have is the 18mm deep socket, after you unbolt the plug use your spark plug wire to get it out. Stick it down in the hole onto the plug as if you were installing the wires. Then pull it out, the plug should remain attatched to the wire when you pull it out.

or you could make a cheap, effective tool for this sort of thing. If you have an old spark plug wire lying around, say from an old Chev or Ford V8, or some such. Push the wire thru the plug end rubber boot, then cut it off. This leaves you with a piece of rubber that perfectly fits on a spark plug. Then you just take an old screwdriver that is so stripped it no longer works, and shove it up one end of your rubber spark plug boot. Try to get a screwdriver that will fit on the boot tightly, then you have a tool that you put in your toolbox and use when ever you need it.

but then I just like making low tech, cheap, very useful things, so maybe you just wanna use your spark plug wire, and thats fine too.

btw, LaserJay, whats the good word on speakers :)

Actually I used a 13/16" deep plug socket, I stated earlier that it was a 3/4" I was mistaken, sorry about that.

Car's still at Buschur. Dan Buschur called me last Tues. to tell me that he's sick of lookin at it. He doesn't know when they'll see another 165 lph fuel pump that isn't already sold. So I opted to go with a 190 lph and a fuel pressure regulator. Should be a matter of days now. I haven't forgotten about you guys. :) Didn't mean to change the subject here.
